Organic Fertilizer Sources Distinctively Modulate Productivity, Quality, Mineral Composition, and Soil Enzyme Activity of Greenhouse Lettuce Grown in Degraded Soil

چکیده
Intensive greenhouse vegetable production is often associated with a decline of crop productivity due to the increase soil salinity and/or reduction biological fertility. The aim current work was assess effects three organic fertilizers on morpho-physiological and agronomic traits lettuce as well enzyme activity under poor quality conditions. tested (poultry manure, vinasse-based fertilizer, insect’s frass fertilizer) were applied pre-planting at same equivalent nitrogen (N) rate (90 kg N ha?1). Laboratory incubation assay results showed that fertilizer most suitable in supplying mineral short term. All increased shoot fresh dry weight compared unfertilized control more pronounced effect (+75%) frass. Insect reduced by 27% leaf nitrate concentration comparison other treatments. toxic heavy metal Pb 46% lower all organically fertilized leaves. Soil enzymatic activities acid phosphatase, alkaline arylsulfatase (ArS), N-acetyl-?-D-glucosaminidase (NAGase), dehydrogenase, total hydrolase (THA) enhanced poultry manure while ArS, NAGase, THA. Taken together, our data demonstrate application especially during intensive approach for mitigating negative impact salinity, enhancing fertility, improving performance lettuce.

Soil pathogen-aphid interactions under differences in soil organic matter and mineral fertilizer
There is increasing evidence showing that microbes can influence plant-insect interactions. In addition, various studies have shown that aboveground pathogens can alter the interactions between plants and insects. However, little is known about the role of soil-borne pathogens in plant-insect interactions. It is also not known how environmental conditions, that steer the performance of soil-bor...
متن کاملOrgano-Mineral–Enzyme Interaction and Soil Enzyme Activity
Both microbially produced enzymes and mineral surfaces can be considered catalysts of chemical transformation in soils and other geological environments such as sediments and subsurface aquifers. While both are important direct agents of organic matter (OM) remineralization and transformation, mineral surfaces can also act as “heterogeneous co-catalysts,” influencing the kinetic properties of b...

This study aimed to evaluate how the utilization of organic waste, after successive applications, affects P fractions in the soil and consequently environmental contamination. In an exp...
متن کاملDamage Threshold of Meloidogyne hapla to Lettuce in Organic Soil.
Lettuce was seeded in pots in the greenhouse and in field microplots in 1991 and 1992. Pots and microplots were filled with untreated or fumigated organic soil infested with Meloidogyne hapla at seven initial population densities (Pi) (0 to 32 eggs/cm(3) soil). Lettuce weight, severity of root galling, and number of eggs per root system (Pf) were determined after 8 weeks. At the highest Pi, M. ...
